Dear Educational Justice,
I came across your blog a few days ago and am encouraged by your efforts to increase awareness surrounding education reform. In this particular post, the author writes, "Schools, along with other critical services, have been left in a financial limbo where they must continue to operate, but must plan for unknown levels of cuts that may come in an unpredictable schedule, with unfamiliar, unacceptable changes to classrooms." While it is essential to move policy in order to see sustained reform initiatives, I am curious to know what you think about a more grassroots approach, one that is headed by a team comprised of teachers and donors working together to bring change directly to the classroom. I would love to hear your collective thoughts on this and perhaps enlist your help on a similar initiative my colleagues and I are working for, so please feel free to contact me at a.shih.yuan@gmail.com. Looking forward to hearing from you!
